Who We Are
We are a company formed since 1985 focus on enterprise level IT Infrastructure project and services. Our work scopes include Network Cabling & Power Cabling work for Data Center project, Business Premises Cabling system using premium Structure Cabling products which includes Fiber Optic Network Cables, standard or intelligent patch panels, 19 in rated equipment racks and industrial graded cable support baskets, trays, trough and metal trunks.
We are an current Malaysian Government Authority -CIDB (Class G7) and Suruhan Tenaga (Class A) approved contractor.
Currently our main products technology partners are CommScope Systimax, Net connector, Panduit, Legrand, Schneider, CPI & APC. More partners are coming in with the high demand of IT Infrastructure installation.
Our establishment was back in 1985 as a small trading company (then called Avomarine a combi of Avionics, and Marine) located in Pasar Road, Kuala Lumpur. Our office then consisted of little more than a table and two chairs, and our first products were precision black box parts for Lightning protection and network switching. Our national carrier MAS was one of our biggest users of these products.
Around the year 1988 our founders Andre Ho (andreho@avo.com.my) saw the change of IT Networking coming to Malaysia and quickly redirected the business to the sale and installation of IT network components which includes IBM Type 1, Type III and later AT&T Systimax Cabling System as the first in the world Structured Cabling Product. By 1989, a sudden demand as the results of the local stock exchange (KLSE) bull market run swept the nation. Setting Network and Data Communication system for stock exchange trading firms has drove the company to a series of peak performance in the IT Infra project business.
Avo Technology since pioneering the field of Structured Cabling in Malaysia in these eventful years, devoted entirely to the Information Technology Infrastructure installation business supported by technology partners from Systimax(Formerly AT&T, Lucent & Avaya), Netconnect (formerly :AMP), Belden, Panduit, Telegartner of Germany, and several other Structure cabling System manufacturers! Our break thru project was to secure Telekom Malaysia's CASS project and being one of the few selected projects partner for Bursa Malaysia's Cabling Vendor. At the same duration, AVO was awarded a new migration project for TA Securities(now TA Enterprise) to install more than 14000 Cat5e Structure Cabling points and 10,000 Power sockets, and implement a new Data Centre which includes Main and Standby Power System and Data infrastructure within the same project duration.
Being ahead of the game, we increased our range of products to include data center design and mechanical/electrical building services. We have also expanded into Fiber-To-The Home (FTTH), wireless telecommunications, CCTV monitoring and much more. Many of our customers took a liking to our ability to provide a complete integrated solution for all their infrastructure needs. We take pride in our ability to provide our customers with cutting-edge technology, as we continue to expand our wealth of knowledge and technical expertise.
Avo Technology continues to be driven by that same determination. No project is too small or too big for us.
It was this determination that has today garnered us recognition as a CIDB Class G7 and Energy Commission Class A contractor.
