MEP Project

MEP stands for mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.

Our involvement in these three technical fields cover the systems that make buildings habitable for humans. MEP installations are normally designed together, due to the high degree of interaction between them. This combined approach also prevents equipment, pipe way, cable path, riser and equipment room location conflicts or clashes. These many common problem when mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems are designed and installed in isolation, our role is to manage the three service and coordinate their work and final success of the project.
AVO MEP team offered many advantages: we can optimize material requirements to reduce installation costs, while achieving high performance and meeting building bylaw and design codes. These services are very valuable in high rise building project which is common amongst metropolitan such as Kuala Lumpur since local building costs are high and construction codes and municipal bylaw are more stringent.
The municipals or local governments has strong rules of building renovation and construction. Most of this work required an application in accordance with the Standard / Uniform Buildings By-laws (UUKBS) 1984″. Client are advise to engages the help of an authorized architect or a registered draftsman and Engineer for the building structure.
To complete the construction or renovation work other than the building contractors, the client will require the service of a registered and License MEP contractor. In Malaysia, these will be a CIDB registered contractor.
Each CIDB registered contractor must be prior approved and evaluation and approved by the CIDB office according to the applicant’s financial strength and specialized field.
Successful applicant company will be streamline in several categories such as Civil, Building & M&E. Each of these categories will be further sub divided into sub heading base on their skill set or trade specialization e.g E1 for General Electrical work, M1 for General Aircon work.
